What is this site?
This site a a community health and human services tool for the
people of Northwest Georgia. The purpose of the site is to provide a
place where people in need can get real-time information about
individuals and agencies that provide services. It's all about
people helping
people.
Who can use this site?
Anyone can use this site - although the primary benefactors of
this site are the people of Northwest Georgia. For the most part,
the services offered by agencies, non-profit organizations, and
volunteers on this site are available only to the people of Northwest
Georgia. We gladly
accept all volunteer offers and we make every effort
to respond to every request for help, even for those outside
Northwest Georgia.
Why do agencies and non-profit organizations use this site?
Agencies have a variety of reasons for using this site. Many smaller
agencies and non-profit organizations, that can not afford expensive
software, use the site for its powerful client and volunteer
features. (Don't worry - all personal information is confidential
and secure.) Other agencies use it for it's collaborative features
- a feature that allows each agency to define how it works
with other participating agencies. Some agencies use it to make
the best use of their services by reviewing their clients' history
of help received. And some agencies make use of all these features,
the reports, and more!
Is this a United Way site?
This site is provided by United Way of Northwest Georgia and is
intended to benefit all the people of Northwest Georgia. United
Way of Gordon County also participates in this site.
Can non-United Way agencies and non-profit organizations use this site?
Absolutely! We welcome and encourage all agencies and non-profit
organizations that provide health and human services in Northwest
Georgia to use this site. You don't have to be a United Way agency.
The site is designed as a community site to make it easy for
people to help people.
Who can become a member?
Any employee or volunteer of a participating agency can become
a member. Those wishing to join must agree to protect the integrity
of the database and follow the site's practices and policies.

How do I become a member?
If you are an employee or volunteer of a participating agency,
you can click here to fill out a form to request membership or
you can ask your agency's administrator to set up your account.
If your agency does not currently participate, click
here to
set up your agency's information. Once approved by United Way
of Northwest Georgia, you will be able to become a member. (Click
here to search for your agency. If found, the agency is a participating
agency.)
Are there any fees for membership?
No. The use of the site is free and is provided by United Way
of Northwest Georgia, Mohawk Industries, and Tesla Technologies.
What are the minimum computer requirements to get the fullest benefit of
this site?
This site was designed to be viewed using the following browsers: Internet
Explorer 6.0+, Mozilla 1.0+, Netscape 6.0+, and other HTML 4.01 compliant
browsers. Any computer capable of supporting those browsers is sufficient.
